What's Yours?

Every empty moment in line at Delhi Metro is a chance to catch up on
emails.
Every ride is a time to scroll our Instagram feed or for
Facebook updates.
Every second of silence, begs to be filled with music, videos
etc.
We fill every waking moment with productivity or entertaining ourselves.
We the humans are defined by constant activity. Both day and night, our
relentlessness has generated millions and billions of money for the
Corporate MNC’s while leaving us suffering from life crises and fake relationships.
It has gotten to that extent that we actually fear silence and solitude.
We feel the need to fill every empty space of our lives with any sort of activity,
distractions or entertainment
just to block out our very own thoughts.
We are that empty vessels of activity  who are  constantly Doing things but
not truly living.
Are We?

Our career is defined by how fast we’re achieving something by climbing the
corporate ladder.
Our popularity is defined by Instagram likes
Our relationships are defined not by the depth but by their usefulness.
Our success is defined by the amount of money in our bank.
Like others I’ve also been dwelling on this concept for a while, and I’m convinced
that: who we are matters far more than what we do.
I’m still trying to learn how to live in being me concept and for that I don’t have
many answers. My personal compass is now pointed toward trying to become a
person of character rather than a machine.
What’s Yours?
